HomePageICUJP Web RedesignWe are in the process of changing our web presence. Take a look here at our options for design/layout, then click the link below to cast your vote or give suggestions. This web site is a "wiki", which really only means you can edit it and the whole world can see your edits. It is offered as a tool for coordinating ICUJP project efforts, initially for "Loving Islam Week". Check back when you can, to add resources and to see what others have added. The best way to do that is to use the "Recent Changes" link at the top of the page. I will try to flesh out this intro page and better explain the issue over the weekend...but if you have the time, don't wait for me; anyone can edit this page simply by clicking "Edit" in the upper right. Welcome! This space has been created as a central repository for ICUJP efforts at compiling resources related to the upcoming propaganda campaign scheduled by David Horowitz for the week of October 22. The "week" begins October 22, so we really need to get up to speed fast. Monday, October 15, there will be a group of ICUJP members at a USC student meeting being organized for opposing the Horowitz propaganda week. If you know of other actions we can be at this is a good place to let us know. Let's see some great action on this important issue! Loving Islam Week is a working title for ICUJP efforts to coordinate/lead activities scheduled the same week as the planned Horowitz propaganda blitz. The premise is simple, they will know us by our love, and judge the fruit of our labors accordingly. By contrast, the fear mongering will be easier to see for what it is if we put it in contrast with the loving truth about our Muslim brothers and sisters. Here are some news articles on Horowitz's planned progaganda campaing. But, please, this is a central tenet of strategy, do not, in your writings or references to the action, use Horowitz's hateful language when talking about the week of October 22. His actions are a propaganda campaign, ours is (working title) Loving Islam. The language issue is important, for further insight see our Strategy and Tactics page. Use this page to list information on which campuses are holding events to oppose "the Week". Non-campus events are listed here. You can see (and contribute to!) our To Do list here. |
